Greetings !

I hereby would like to write my experience during my trip to India. I eagerly posted about my review on the scrumptious foods before this one.

Last week I was sent by my organisation to India to attend a short consultation. The consultation took place on 20-21 February 2018 at Ashoka University's campus in Sonipat which is near New Delhi in India.

The Asia Consultation on the gender lens to the UNDPs is convened by the Working Group and hosted by Ashoka University's Genpact Centre for Women's Leadership (GCWL) in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Asia-Pacific and UN-Women.

It was a great experience for me as I have an opportunity to brainstorm collectively to unpack what it means to apply a gender lens to all three pillars of the UNGPs, Explore how businesses can integrate a gender perspective into their policies, processes and operations including the supply chains, discuss business-related human rights issues specific to women and their rights in Asia, and lots more !

I get to know with new friends from various organisation and most of them are very experienced in term of women's rights as well as issues related to it. I learnt a lot from them. Also, I think it is okay for me as a newbie to join this kind of consultation.

It was a great pleasure joining the UN Asia Consultation. Also, inspired by Harpreet Kaur "The lens that I am most seen with is that of a woman - a foggy lens of biases, discrimination and injustice. This is the story of many women in India, Asia and the world. " Many thanks
