I wish I could have the brain I used to have 25 years ago, and things seemed to be so fast that my slow coding brain isn't helping, with a dozen of things juggling together: putting food on the table, intentionally discipling the generations to be ready for what we are facing.

Moreover on a programming language I am unfamiliar with, since I am a dinosaur developer 馃槄

I wished I could whine back time, but sometimes I feel, we are running out of time.

But that's not for today's ranting. Hahaha...

Recently, I really feel like my brain wants to be re-trained what I dropped last time, like picking up a language easily; but to go in and do daily practice like duo-lingo is getting harder, maybe because of age and too many things to juggle in my unorganised brain, I needed "a push"

So what better to learn how to "use an assistant hand to help me get back on track"?

But one of the ways to build that assistant I need new technology access and procedures that I have been unconsciously avoiding for many years, probably I was too complacent and I was too spread out with what I wanted to do... a little too much of the jack of all trades in me to the point I am becoming too messy.

Hence I must return to master of one

However, this often comes with a price

Fortunately, to test my little project, there is a Pay as you go subscription that I may be able to use it for low volume use, as low as USD$1.01. Take it as a learning curve expense that will allow me to not only learn on-the-fly, but to write here to share my experience and remember what other mistakes I should not do along the way.

Make sure you are NOT using a Credit Card, but a pre-paid card to control your expenses in case there are some "accidental subscription" that could cost you a bomb.

But if there is another way to do it for FREE and you know about it, please do share your knowledge gems here too!

(At times like these, sharing knowledge is power)

Often times I only use ready made APIs for small processors on Google Sheets provided in the office; but to create my own service, this is new to me. I think my #teammalaysia boss and core team (then) would find this easy-peasy, but for a half century dinosaur to pick up what has been dormant for decades, it is like cracking the covered clays and stones to resurrect the fossil inside. 馃槀

(Maybe codingdefined@codingdefined will find this easy-peasy too)

But I must say, I am having fun and feeling intrigued!

I guess too much ministry and administrator work has pretty much numb the machine side of my brain for too long. I hope it will wake up soon to understand what I am really doing, otherwise it will look like gibberish Matrix lines dropping down like "decorations" 馃槀

How is it working so far?

I guess I will have to find out later once Claude finishes coding for me and teaching me how to load to all relevant places with as minimal expenses as possible.

Stay tuned!

Until Then

Stay healthy, stay curious and learn new things, and stay happy!
