I think this is already my third bear market in crypto, although at this point, I’m no longer keeping track of how many I’ve experienced. LOL! After spending so many years in this space, I’ve realized that constantly checking the price doesn’t really help, especially if your main goal is to build your stake and grow with the platform over time.
Of course, I would still love to see Hive’s price recover. Who wouldn’t? But nowadays, I’m paying more attention to what’s actually happening within the ecosystem rather than what the price chart is telling me.
One thing I’m quite confident about is that development on Hive hasn’t stopped. The backend continues to receive attention from developers, and what excites me even more is seeing new frontends and applications being introduced with their own unique use cases. It makes me think about how far we’ve come since the early days of this blockchain.
Back then, our platform was basically a Reddit-style blogging site. We could write posts, leave comments, and earn rewards through curation. That was already an impressive concept at the time, but honestly, I never imagined that the same blockchain would eventually support so many different ways to interact with other users.
Now we have short-form social platforms, games, creative applications, and community-driven projects that make Hive feel more like an ecosystem than just a blogging platform. What’s even more interesting is seeing people who aren't necessarily professional developers exploring ways to build something for the community. Technology has made experimentation more accessible, and I think Hive is benefiting from that.
Hive Town Is One of the Apps That Caught My Attention
One of my favorite use cases on Hive right now is social gaming. I like the idea of combining simple games with community interaction because it gives us another reason to stay active, even when we don’t feel like writing a long blog post.
A great example is Hive Town, a gaming experience that brings different activities together in a colorful little virtual town.
You can check it out here: Hive Town — Rozioo Games.
What I like about it is that the games are easy to understand but can still be challenging enough to keep you entertained. You can explore different areas, participate in mini games, take on missions, and contribute to community goals. It’s a nice way to spend a few minutes relaxing while staying connected with fellow Hive users.
The Halloween-themed activities are particularly fun. There’s a Pumpkin Garden where players can contribute by watering the community pumpkin, plus games like Haunted Carnival and Halloween Defense. There are also points and rankings, which add a little friendly competition to the experience.
I actually like that kind of system. It gives players a reason to return and participate regularly, instead of opening an app once and forgetting about it. And as someone who enjoys both gaming and interacting with the Hive community, I think that’s a great combination.
Building While the Market Is Quiet
What amazes me most is that these apps are being developed while the crypto market is still struggling. In a bear market, it’s easy for people to lose interest, especially when there isn’t much financial excitement to motivate them.
Yet there are builders who continue creating things for us to enjoy. Some of these projects are even self-funded, which makes their dedication more impressive to me. I believe passion and community spirit are powerful motivations, especially for projects that want to last beyond a single market cycle.
Does this guarantee that Hive will rise again? Of course not. But it gives me more reasons to stay optimistic. Instead of simply waiting for the price to pump, we’re expanding what people can actually do on this blockchain.
For me, that’s the kind of progress that matters. The more useful and enjoyable applications we have, the more reasons people will have to discover Hive, stay active, and invite others to join.
So while the market remains bearish, I’ll continue paying attention to the builders, the community, and the little experiences that make this platform worth visiting every day.
Hive on!
