How I’m Building a Satsman Army Using Two Different Marketing Strategies
I’ve now been using Satsman for nine months, and one of the things I’ve focussed on from the beginning has been building a team. I’m obviously interested in how many sats I can earn myself by completing the daily missions and playing the games, but I also understand that the real opportunity in a referral-based system comes from building a network of people who are active themselves and who can eventually introduce other people to the platform.
For anyone who hasn't come across it before, Satsman.com is a platform where you can earn Bitcoin sats by completing daily missions, playing games and taking part in various activities. It also has a referral system, which is the part I’ve been particularly interested in developing because it allows you to build a team and earn from the activity of people you introduce.
That has been part of my Satsman strategy from day one, and it has also given me an opportunity to bring some of my previous experience in online marketing into what I’m doing with Satsman. In this video, I explain how I’m now using two quite different approaches to build my Satsman team, one on Hive and the other by promoting a lead capture page on various advertising platforms that appeal to people looking to "make money online" in one way or another.
Using Hive as one of my marketing channels
The first approach is probably the most obvious one for anyone reading this post. I write about Satsman here on Hive, sharing my own experience and documenting what I’m doing with the platform.
That has worked well for me because there is already a natural connection between Satsman and Hive. I can talk about earning sats, show what I’m doing with them and explain how I’ve transferred some of my earnings into the Hive ecosystem.
More importantly, the people reading my posts are able to see this as an ongoing story rather than simply coming across a referral link with no context behind it.
However, if I want to build a larger team, it makes sense to look beyond the audience I can reach here, and that is where my second marketing strategy comes into play.
Using a marketing funnel
The second approach uses something that will be familiar to anyone with a background in affiliate marketing: a marketing funnel.
Rather than simply putting my Satsman referral link in front of someone and hoping they sign up, I can introduce the concept, provide some information and give them an opportunity to find out more before deciding whether they want to join.
I’ve been building funnels for many years, so I'm simply applying something I already know how to do to Satsman.
Why I’m using both approaches
I don't see these two strategies as competing with each other. They allow me to reach two different audiences.
Here on Hive, I can document my own experience with Satsman and continue building a record of what happens over time. Someone who comes across one of my posts can see what I’ve been doing for the past nine months, rather than just seeing a promotion for something I’ve never used myself.
The funnel, on the other hand, allows me to reach people who have no connection with Hive and may never come across one of my Hive posts.
What I look at in the video is how each campaign is doing.
I’ll continue talking about Satsman here on Hive, where I can document my own journey and share what I’m learning along the way. At the same time, I’m using a more traditional affiliate-marketing approach to reach people outside the Hive community.
I don't know yet how the two approaches will compare, which is part of the reason I’m doing the experiment in the first place. I’ll keep working on both and continue documenting my progress here on Hive.
Cheers!
