A couple of days ago I was cleaning a part of the garden with my niece to start a composting process with her, however, the rainy season we are going through interrupted the work. Here in this photo I show how we removed the weeds, about 10 minutes after the rain started it interrupted the process, but we discovered some plants that grew there and that I want to preserve.
One of the beauties I found were the shoots of a passion fruit that I planted almost 2 months ago in the hope that its seeds would grow in my garden. When we were cleaning up, I got one of these, and as I continued, I got 2 more, I got very excited because this is my favorite fruit of all.
This plant has always been planted in my house, since the climate here is suitable for its growth, as it resists heat. Since this plant is a climbing plant, we always put ropes around it so that it acts as a roof and provides shade in the place where it is located.
In our house we have always considered passion fruit as one of the best fruits, we have cooked sweets, cakes and even the juices are divine for a hot afternoon. I will be more than happy to show you how my babies' growth process has been.
One thing that did surprise me a lot was the presence of a small cucumber sprout, which is without a doubt one of the best juices I have ever had is cucumber and lemon juice, and the fact that this plant has sprouted is because less than a month ago I made this juice and I usually put what I soil on the ground to fertilize it. Seeing this plant is certainly a reminder of the delicious juice we drank that day.
In my previous post I mentioned that I managed to find some cacti in our previous home, but due to space constraints I was unable to take them with me when moving. However, in almost 2 months they grew a lot, so I took advantage of removing their offspring and giving them to my neighbors and relatives in small pots made from recycled materials.
My godmother has one that I gave her, it is known as a little dedito, and she showed me that a little mandarin plant grew on one side. What do you advise me? Can I transplant it? Or would it be very difficult? I would like to take it home.
This plant caught fungus, and I also transplanted part of it. Curiously, I read on the Internet that this plant is known as "Nopal Cegador" (Blinding Nopal), which releases a dust that is dangerous to some people's eyes, but even so I treated it with total care.
I'm still trying to properly place my plants, which has been a bit complicated. But I'll try to dedicate the next few days to this. Thanks for reading...
