Top 5 most exciting projects
We live in exciting times! It seems like every day I am reading about some new piece of crypto technology that holds a huge amount of promise. I think this is important for many reasons, but most of all it creates a buzz around cryptocurrency and helps grow the user base. These are the top five projects I am most excited for right now, they aren't in any particular order.
Zappl
Zappl is a very exciting project for us Steemians, It is essentially Twitter and instagram combined into one website and it works on the steem blockchain. You log into Zappl using your steemit account details and have access to the same steempower, steem and SBD. You will have the same upvote abilities on Zappl than you do in Steemit only this time you are upvoting short form Twitter length posts rather than long form steemit like posts. This is very exciting stuff and I hope this project is very successful. For more info checkout 
TenX
TenX could be the most exciting thing we see in a long time in terms of actually using crypto in the real world! Sure the Bitpay card is cool, and I have one on the way (I will review in the future) but TenX really does blow everything else out of the water! TenX is really too big and complicated to talk about in a quick run down like I am doing here and would recommend you go the their website and read up about it in more detail, however the short of it is that TenX is a multi currency platform and debit card that allows you to spend your cryptocurrencies in the real world. TenX boasts the best fees that are currently available. No monthly or yearly maintenance fees, no foreign exchange fees, 0% spending and loading fees and a nominal ATM withdrawal fee. Pretty impressive stuff! Not to mention you can use Bitcoin, ethereum, dash, ERC20 tokens and more will be implemented. Another reason TenX is going to be great is the implementation of cashback rewards on all purchases! These sort of features are what will help bring cryptocurrency to the mainstream way of life!
EOS
I have been very vocal about the EOS ICO and how I don't think you should invest in it. But that isn't to say the technology itself isn't exciting stuff because it clearly is. EOS could be the core of a DApp (Decentralized Application) explosion when it is released. EOS is essentially adding Ethereum's smart contract technology to Graphene's awesome scalability! EOS when released will make it extremely easy for non blockchain experts to create and manage DApps, meaning we will see an explosion of innovation coming out of EOS and because of that, I think it stands a solid chance of competing and maybe even overtaking Ethereum! EOS again is very complicated and for a more details you should read the whitepaper on their website.
Prism
Prism is an interesting project, it is a trustless asset portfolio platform. Prism allows people to build multi crypto portfolios (called prisms) by putting Ethereum up as collateral. If the value of a prism goes up, it can be sold and the profits will be sent to the user in the form of Ethereum. It is a very simple and cool concept that I believe will be fantastic for two groups of people, the newbies of crypto and those people who don't want to have 50 wallets for all their cryptocurrency portfolios. Steemit
Come on! I couldn't do a top 5 exciting things going on in cryptocurrency without mentioning our Steemit, could I! Steemit is in Beta, which means there could be many more features to come! Things like a better search function, live text or video chats, live broadcasting, proper customisable user profiles, proper mobile applications... the list of possibilities are endless. Steemit holds a bright future, and I couldn't be more excited for it to shine when it hits final release.
