I am sure most of you remember when youtube started becoming monetized, people from all around the world started to think about youtube as a primary source of income. I remember people mocking them, saying that youtube isn't a proper job. It took many years and many terrible tshirts sales for the perception to shift in the public eye. Now we have many people making a good living off youtube and a select few making Millions.

I wonder if we are about to see Crypto undergo the same treatment. Currently its mocked in the public eye, and associated with crime, but with the incredible growth of crypto in social media and Crypto personalities now getting a strong following, are we going to see a bloom of people quitting their jobs in favour of Mining and trading crypto? We have seen it already with a few select people with a following, but can we expect it to be common enough that it doesn't even raise an eyebrow?

Will the likes of Bitcoin one day be associated with some famous self made star in the same way youtube as a career be associated with the top channels? Maybe one day it will be considered cool to live life on crypto currency and skinny guys with tattoo sleeves while inexplicably wearing sunglasses indoors will be saying that he liked Bitcoin before it was popular.

I am interested on your thoughts on this, and while this was written slightly tongue in cheek, I do genuinely wonder what the future holds for crypto currency and the self employed. Please comment and let me know your thoughts!

Stay safe and keep mining!
