Ok this is just too damn cute I can't stand it. The lion with the little knocker thing is just too much. It reminds me of the move Labrynth.
I wanted something to display some of my copper and silver bullion and my husband found this treasure chest on Amazon. It s so cute.
The hardware is sturdy. We put a block cloth on the inside but may line it with felt in the future. it's made of wood, plywood I think. The paint has that slightly worn look which adds to the aesthetic. The sides did need to get reinforced when we got it. We just used some nails and wood glue, but overall this is a great inexpensive little treasure chest. And yes the little knockers do move. It's quite satisfying.
It also has a spot on the front latch to put a small padlock.
