My Autumn
I look through my window and see the leaves
Changing color, one by one flying to the ground.
Fall. It's in my grasp. My beloved season, the one I long for.
I take a deep breath. The crisp, chilly, and clean air tickles my nose.
I think back to times when I was little, sitting in my grandma's cook room, watching her bake.
The aroma of fresh apple pie floating through the air.
My mind roams away
To caramel apples with my mom.
The sweet, golden, caramel clings to my lips
As the mellow apple crunches in my mouth.
Then the picture of a bonfire flashes into my mind.
Sitting with my sister on a swaying log,
Roasting marshmallows, watching them roast in flames.
Their incredible taste with some melted chocolate.
