Hamilton isn't expecting to race and thinks the plug is about to be pulled or has a high chance of being pulled. He just thinks greed has taken over and he is right. His exact words were "cash is king" and the only reason why they are still there. The FIA are closely monitoring the situation and are probably panicking how much they are about to lose. The Australian race director says he has no problems with 100's of thousands of people attending the race.

Writing what everyone is thinking. The drivers are open and honest about it as they all feel it should have been cancelled.
I am a little amazed how lightly certain sports have taken the Corona Virus. This can only be down to the financials as common sense would have been to just postpone everything and ride it out. The issue is no one knows how long the ride out would be and will the situation deteriorate even more.
The NBA were quick to pull the plug even though they are close to the season end. I am sure the temptation was there to just get it finished, but common sense prevailed. Maybe it would have been better to cram the last 4 weeks into two weeks and get it over and done with.

The Australian Grand Prix is this weekend and McLaren are the first casualties having to pull out. One of the team members has tested positive so everyone has to go into quarantine. Haas has 4 members not well and are being tested plus 3 more from various other teams. The Haas members came back negative but we have to remember the other teams who race the Formula Two cars are there as well.
Surely that should have triggered the cancellation of the race or is that too drastic? I am sure if it was Mercedes or Ferrari the whole thing would have been called off, but it was a smaller team so they don't really count for much. From reading between the lines if one more team pulls out they will cancel and with 2 days to go the chances are fairly high.

La Liga in Spain is now on a two match break as Real Madrid have gone into a 14 day quarantine. Liverpool were a little unlucky as they could have had an extra 2 or 3 weeks if the game was next week and not last night.
Looking at the list above it looks as though everyone is too late and the horse has already bolted. Hindsight is a great thing, but this is all new as there has been nothing like this ever. I think that should have made people even more cautious as better safe than sorry is always the best way to act.
The problem in today's world is firstly the people in charge are too PC which in other words they are weak and pathetic. They can be manipulated by greed around them trying to please both sides. They are not leaders even though they head up organisations and it is about time they grow a set of balls and think for themselves.
The English Premiership is still on the go and too be quite honest I would have pulled the plug already. playing an extra game this weekend is not in anyone's best interest, but only the clubs involved. One last payday before closed doors are forced instead of a break of one month which is possibly the smart way of going.
Everyone is in the same boat as every sports fan and sports team has been impacted in the exact same way. Close up shop for one month and take it from there. People are not really taking it seriously as it hasn't had an effect on their lives yet. The opposite will happen as people are dumb as questions will be asked why they didn't stop the events before it got so bad. This is a situation where you just can't win and why it is time to pull the plug and sit it out.
Today is Thursday with the Formula One race on Sunday. I wonder what odds you would get with the bookies whether it goes ahead or not. Would you classify that as a sporting bet or not?
