This is not the first time I have said this, and it won’t be the last. Life is not fair, nothing in this world is fair, and not even to the new borns. But what is even worse is the fact that up to 80% of the children born in this era weren't planned, not even by married couples. You find married couples talking about staying a while before giving birth only to find out they are pregnant. You find a lot of couples giving birth without being ready not because they want to, but because the idea of abortion sounds like a death sentence. But when you think about it carefully you discover that even these babies never asked to be born, they never asked to endure the suffering they have been exposed to. But then again , would it have been better to end their life before it began, or would it have been better to not give them a chance to survive after knowing they have been conceived. Is suffering better than death? Perhaps they won’t even know they had died if they were flushed out early, when you think about the things going on in the world today, it might be better if some people were not even born so they do not have to suffer. But when they have already been conceived, is terminating them really the best answer.
This is how you know life isn’t fair, it’s asking a lot of people to choose between surviving suffering or death. The moment a child is conceived their life begins, and at that point the wheel of faith starts rolling. How long they can survive might not even be dependent on them, for some it is more dependent on faith as there are those who did not even know their parents at the end of the day. The reason for all these is the pleasure of sex. The thrill of the act has led to a lot of unforeseen circumstances. It is easy to cast blame, especially on those who knew they were not ready but still decided to have sex and even have unprotected sex. It is very easy to blame them as the only mistake they made was choosing to have fun and in a lot of religions, they choose to commit sin. If sex outside marriage is a sin, would you rather they commit another sin of killing the child or sin against humanity by bringing the child into a world of suffering. At the end of the day a sin has to be chosen. I can say for a fact that at this point it is just the choices of men that makes life unfair, and it is not as though life gives a lot of choices.
Are we supposed to be populating in this era, are we supposed to be bringing in children who will suffer?. I do not think this is a question to ask, because if we do not populate in this era then the human race will go into extinction in no time. When has the human race ever experienced a time of peace, when has the human race ever experienced a time when they had to stop populating because of war and insecurities. The fact will always be that peaceful days make weak people, hard days make strong people and strong people make peaceful days but at the end of the day, we need the cycle to continue so we can have a chance of surviving and keep this race going. There have been times when an entire nation was wiped out, and only the infants survived to keep the nation going. What if the parent decided to terminate then, who would have carried their heritage. Life will always be unfair, we can only grow stronger.
