Kombucha-pickled Habaneros and Carolina Reapers. With garlic. Destined for hot sauce, later on down the line.

These were the peppers that needed to be used ASAP, and it seemed as good of a use as any. I figure I'll just keep adding to the jar over the Fall. My new habanero plants are just now starting to bear fruit, and my new Reaper babies go in ground once I finish the new section of the pepper bed. 7-9 Jalapeños went in ground today, and I have that many more left to plant. Fingers crossed they all take and grow. (WeFB_IMG_1501374004833.jpg love jalapeños, that's why so many.) Heh heh heh.

Just for heat reference:
Jalapeños: 2,000-8,000 Scoville units
Orange Habaneros: 150,000 - 325,000 Scoville units
Carolina Reapers: 1.8 - 2.2 million Scoville units.

This jar is about 50/50 orange habaneros and Carolina Reapers, though I'd guess they both come in on the low end of their ranges. I was seeding them bare-handed, and there's only a slight warmth.
