I find nature to be extremely therapeutic for the spirit. A walk in the forest can be like a magical bliss pill with many positive benefits. I like it when it is very early in the morning because there aren't many people around. It is quiet, it is peaceful.
Beauty simplified
If you disconnect entirely from everything else and just enjoy the walk, you start to observe tiny things. How a tree looks different, how beautiful the patterns of a leaf are, scented sap drips from freshly cut pine stems. You realize your greatness and smallness in the same time.
The forest is never the same. I discover a different kind of beauty every time. I can't get bored, I can't get enough. I love it the most when I see the patterns of shadow left by the light. Geometric art at its best. I don't think about photography when I go in the forest, but often I take pictures when something catches my eye. The best moments I experienced (fog, snow, rain, thunders, beautiful light) are in my mental compartment. Forever.
The spectacle of shadows in the early morning
If I would have to make a list of benefits of a walk in nature I would mention:
it restores your battery, filling you up with joy
it allows you to go within and do introspection in silence
it makes you realize how petty all of your worries are
it makes you feel powerful and strong yet calm and humble
it makes you step back from people and analyse what you are becoming in their presence/absence. A great tool for reassessing friendships and making necessary changes, a thing you can only do in silence, alone
it relaxes you so much that you can tap into your creative mood and dream BIG.
You enter the forest as a human and you go out of it as a dreamer. For me, this is always a win💚
Have a blessed day and toodle loo!
