My recipe I will be sharing today is butter biscuits. They turn out flawless and delicious! When I found this recipe online I thought to myself it takes to long to make so I decided to try making one myself.
These biscuits make about 40-50 but it really depends on the size you decide to make them. I usually make them the size of a tbs as it makes about 40. But you can make them as small or as big as you want.
Equipment:
Tbsp
Large bowl
Wisk
Baking sheet (non stick-able surface )
Ingredients:
Flour- 500g
Sugar- 150g
Butter- 200g (unsalted) soft butter May not work!
Eggs- 2
Baking powder: 2tsp
Step 1:
Preheat oven to (180 C) gas mark 4 (350 F). Line a baking tray with baking paper and set aside. (Tip// can use any non stick-able surfaces.
Step 2:
Add your flour along with you sugar, butter (unsalted, cut into pieces) , eggs and baking powder. (Tip// if you use self-raising flour don’t add baking powder. Also seive the self-raising flour for extra rise).
Step 3:
Mix all your ingredients together until it looks crumbly. (Not like bread crumbs) it should be soft crumbly doe that is not formed when whisked, but formed when squished together.
Step 4:
Pinch together 1-2 Tbsp of Doe and roll into small balls. (Approx 0.3cm) but I usually make them slightly bigger.
Do that to the rest of your doe. (Tip// make them round not to small and not to big)
Step 5:
Place the balls onto a prepared baking tray or sheet and then on each ball flatten it with a fork proximately half way down the biscuit until it looks crumbly and still round. Repeat with remaining doe and bake for 15-20 minutes. (Tip// when they come out they should look light gold and they shouldn’t feel squishy anymore).
Step 6:
Allow the biscuits to cool down as soon as you take them out of the place they cooked in and then move them to a cooling rack before serving or storing in an air-tight container.
They should taste delicious and look beautiful!!.
I recommend using a wisk on the highest power to form crumbly looking doe. I also recommend this recipe as it only take 30minutes to an hour.
