Quick harvest this afternoon. These strawberries just had to be picked :D
Left plenty on as well.
The mature plants on the sunny side of the green wall are still doing great. I'm actually surprised none of them bolted yet; it's been really hot the last 2 weeks.
On the baby plants side we've got some rocket that just exploded in the last 2 days and some pak choy starting to take shape.
Got this cuc as well.
Now ... I've seen some videos on youtube and read a few articles that I just don't believe; it makes no sense to me at all. Apparently if you leave the cuc stem on and cut in half you're going to have 2 fruit starting to grow again from the same spot. I really don't think that's the case... but what better way to find out than trying it myself?
Now .. the toms. They're still not great. 4th day on pure water and no fertiliser so it's a bit too soon to tell if they're bouncing back or not. Added some of my beer brewing acid to drop the PH down to 6ish to try and give them an extra hand.
The leaves still just look weird.
I've given them a nice pruning as well and removed a lot of leaves and all the side shoots; the airflow will be better and hopefully it will push them to put out more new leaves.
Even with all the issues they're still putting out fruit; I just hope it's not the plants' last attempt at reproduction before kicking the bucket :D
That's it for now.
Cheers!
