16th of June is the first day of the fishing season in the UK; the off season starts on the 15th of March so we've had a 3 months break. Was on the river on the first day of the season obviously :D

Aaand, here we have it, first fish of the season. Lovely little jack pike!
It was soon followed by one of his smaller brethren.
My fishing mate didn't want to let himself outdone so he caught this good sized chub.
Nice, fat chub. We don't really get many of them as we usually target perch, pike and trout but they make for a nice surprise when one of them takes our lures!
