This is my first post in this community. Last Monday afternoon, I went out for a little walk. I didn't go very far; walking along, I reached the banks of the Surma River that flows past our village.

Going near the river, I saw a local brother fishing using a 'bori' (a traditional fishing trap), and a few other people were sitting eagerly behind him, watching. I went close, talked to him, and asked how the fishing was going.

Talking to him felt really nice. At one point in the conversation, he smiled and told me that he had caught a quite nice fish today using the 'bori'. He even told me the local name of the fish was 'Gual' and showed it to me with his own eyes.

This river of ours is very familiar and beloved in Bangladesh, lovingly known to everyone as the Surma River. The peaceful environment on the riverbank, simple conversations with local people, and the scenes of fishing create a different kind of warmth in my heart.

So, I thought of sharing these beautiful moments of our local riverbank with you all. I hope you will like my walking experience and these pictures.

Thank you everyone.
