Because sometimes you need some conversation material when you sit down for tea.
Or to scare off some of your guests.
Or to be able to pour two cups of tea at the same time.
To impress your remaining guests.
Most importantly, psychedelic frog tea pot, while being completely operational, is NOT at all food safe, so you can mention that to everyone once tea time is over.
Tea is best served outside, from the rotted tree stump, preferably after moving several containers of insecticide and fertilizer.
Tea should be brewed overnight, to make it as strong as possible, to go with your stale cookies, and to increase the chance of there being some dead flies.
Dead flies make psychedelic frog tea pot happy!
Be sure to say "psychedelic frog tea pot" as many times as possible to your guests, and then nod and wink as you say it, to add emphasis.
Psychedelic frog tea pot has either (2) drug paraphernalia clutched in each hand or (2) frog breast pumps.
Ask your guests if they have ever "milked a frog," while stroking Psychedelic frog tea pot and offering cream for their tea.
In Psychedelic frog tea pot's eyes lie the secrets of the universe. Be sure to never break eye contact with Psychedelic frog tea pot.
Psychedelic frog tea pot was created by myself, since someone has to do something to make "teapot critique" at art school interesting.

I nominate diebitch@diebitch and zipporah@zipporah to share an intriguing lunchtime story.
