On the third day of protests here LMPD had completely blocked Bardstown Road to stop a march, and just behind the line of cops in riot gear was an unmarked black Ford Transit van. I'd approached the police line with a group of press but broke away to get a few shots of the van. It was only as I was taking this shot through the passenger side window of the van that I realized this was the SWAT team. I don't think I've ever had a more begrudging photo subject than them...
Much of what I post is in black and white, this shot is one of the few that I like much better in color. So who else has unexpectedly found themselves in close proximity to the SWAT team?
