Kentucky's very own murder turtle, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was here in Louisville yesterday. He's from Louisville but we rarely see him around these parts. Seems he thinks his neighbors might not be particularly fond of him. Might be right, too.

Moscow Mitch (we have lots of nicknames for him here) was downtown at the Seelbach Hotel to meet with the newest Supreme Court Justice, Amy "We're not partisan hacks" Barrett. His Machiavellian maneuverings to get her that job may have something to do with his neighbors distaste for him...

To show the hometown boy what they thought of him and let Amy know her efforts to undermine Roe v Wade were intolerable, we had us a little march and demonstration yesterday.

Mitch's Louisville office is in the federal courthouse on Broadway so we gathered there for the action.

There were signs aplenty and they got lots of honks and cheers as we assembled for the march.

Once assembled and instructed we set out for the Seelbach.

Quite a few different organizations participated, a few people were downright scandalized that communists were involved.

The Seelbach wasn't far so it made for a short march but with temperatures in the upper 80s it was plenty long enough. Once we reached hotel we reclaimed the street and expressed ourselves. Loudly.

We hung around for over an hour but Mitch and Amy wouldn't visit with us. Damn sure heard from us though...

LMPD was absent the entire time, surprising but not at all unwelcome.

After we'd had our say, we retraced our steps to Mitch's office, passed out emergency contraceptives for a bit and then called it an afternoon.
