I’ve read somewhere ‘you cannot change what you refuse to confront’. While this statement may elicit cheers of approval as an absolute, it’s not entirely true. Something’s change without confrontation. Like when one partner walks away from a relationship. In this instance, silence kills. Things that are rotting often die away on their own and confrontation only serves to extend the length of contention. So we have here something that is likely unanimously heralded as a truism yet we mistake life for a structure of truisms. Rather then apply a broad wrong or right concept we should always balance and weigh each issue in an application of choice to any given amount of variables. Such is part of wisdom: not to choose absolutes, but to choose absolutely carefully.
