Oh Saturday, I love you.

Whilst writing this post today, I'm anticipating tomorrow with my friends and as per usual, we're going to be drinking and we're probably going to have a great time. I love to dance and it's my way of expressing my self in a positive way. I feel Northern Ireland might have one of the best people in the world despite everything that has happened within it. It's just us and it makes me happy.

That's what this series is all going to be about. The path to get to my ultimate point of happiness. It just feels right.

So this series, what's it going to be about?

In my previous blogs, I have talked negatively about my self development and that can be attributed to many of bad habbits that I have made throughout the year. My aim is to become the best version of myself and to eventually to become as happy as one can be. This series is going to be a my journey to how I'm going to be doing that each day and how each day has got me there. It'll be pretty simple. I'll talk about my day, what I have been doing and how the day has got me one step closer to that. So the question must be asked.

Why would you listen to me over anyone else?

I can answer that very easily. I'm currently restarting from essentially scratch. I don't have a job which can support myself, I have been neglecting myself because what is essentially a gaming addiction. I have come to those terms and as I write this, I have the urge to play games. Playing games isn't bad but unfortunately with me, I sink far to much time into it which is my downfall.

In this journey, I'm not going to school, I have no personal tutition and I don't even have a job. My aim is to absolutely transform myself from zero to hero and I'm going to be doing this with whatever I can find. I do thankfully have little income but that is all tied up with literally living costs and so the adventure to becoming what I absolutely want to be essentially starts right now.

What do I aspire to be?

There are two things which I know would make me far happier. Technically three. Security, peace of mind and wealth. I am told that money doesn't make you happy but it certainly gives you the means to make it happier to make you happy. There is some sort of pride for me to have a house overlooking the sea whilst being able to hold a party and dance. I love dancing. I just absolutely love dancing and dancing to music which gives me euphoria. A certain Steem user knows me in a personal level and could tell you more about that. This ties in with security. I want to know that I'm secure and that my knowledge and learning patterns, will make me successful until the day I want to retire. Lastly is peace in mind. I do again attibute this to not have a lot of finicial means but there is no doubt that I am not in peace. I overthink things, I make assumptions in negative ways and more. That I'm currently working on.

Don't sweat the small stuff, it's all small stuff.

I'm currently reading this book and I think other than another positive styled book that I did read within the Library, I think this has to be one of the best books I've read in relation to a better, postitive mindset. It's probably one of the reasons to why I feel I can go with this series. Don't sweat the small stuff is a small book that has 100 chapters, which are all set out in bite sizes. Each chapter operates as a lovely lesson which you can apply. From not overthinking the small things, letting others be right, not telling people about the great things you have done and not correcting people all the time, they're lessons which everyone can take from it. I so happenly need to learn nearly all the lessons. I feel it's great.

So what have I done today?

I wanted to learn more about Steem today and understand how a lot of it worked. Was it worth the time I want to put in and in all honestly, these questions don't really matter. It's really just finding out the legitimacy of it so the currency actually makes sense. One of the issues which I was having was if people upvoted something that didn't really do well, are they gaining the same amount as others and simply said, no. It's obviously better to upvote things that you believe are going to do well and the more you spam vote, the less voting power you have which again, devalues your potential gains. I think this is highly needed and so this gives me more confidents with the platform. Am I trying to gain from the platform? I feel I would be lying to say if I said no but my main interest is to find out if others see value within Steem. The platform is designed to find the best content and so it is my aim to better myself in the form of creating better content. If I can better myself, then I'll be making better content to which I hope I can give to others. The design to this platform therefore aims to my end game goals.

Moving onto Javascript, I'm currently trying to understand all things the javascript keyword "this" and it was absolutely annoying me. I find learning things a lot harder as I need a picture reference but with the power of brute forcing and enough ways to state the same thing, eventually I got understanding that this is in some sense, inherit to an object. I'm probably going to still read more and more about it but after tomorrow, I'm going to go on and meet it again. I do feel I understand when to use it. As said, I'm currently still using the Javascript and jQuery book which I feel is one of the best technical explainers ever. I was given this book as a donation. I'm very grateful for it.

Lastly I started to learn how to cook better again. Made peppercorn gravy! I'm not too bad when it comes to cooking but I'm slowly learning how to cook. My mother decided to buy me a cooking book for Christmas. It's 5 Ingredients by Jamie Oliver. Yes he's still smiling in the cover. It's a big book but I mean, it's all for quality I guess!

I will probably be studying a little more tonight before I fall asleep but for now, I do leave you off with one of my favourite tunes. As Anjuneabeats aren't currently on D.tube, I will post their Youtube video instead. I hope you have a great day.
