Mi tiempo no será mí tiempo, mis brazos no solo serán mis brazos…
No cambiaría nada.
As the months go by, I can feel how little by little I am saying goodbye to a part of me. I understand that these changes can affect us emotionally and that it is not wrong to feel bad because the person we were will not come back. My body will not be the same, my life in general will change. I think it is important to take time to feel and resolve my feelings at this moment and not leave it for later, because in the end what we do not express, we heal becomes like a bomb that explodes at any moment and ends up hurting us more than it should.
Sometimes I cry for all that I am leaving behind, I cry for what I was, because it will no longer be only about me. My time won't be my time, my arms won't be only my arms...
However, the happiness that grows in my heart is sensational. I wouldn't change a thing. I wouldn't trade this moment for my time. Nor for my freedom. Nor for my body. Because I am happy sharing my body with someone else. I am happy taking this pause to rest and give this baby a chance to grow inside of me. I am happy to know that I was created to give life. Although in reality pregnancy is not easy, I don't want to romanticize it because I would be telling you a lie. Pregnancy is a drastic change, it makes you cry, laugh, get angry. Vomit, and when you look in your closet you will realize that you must renew your clothes. Pregnancy is exhaustion, it is sacrifice. But it is also love. It is courage. It is strength. It is life. It is surrender.
There are days when I feel like I can't go on any longer. Many doubts start to arise, insecurities, frustration for everything that is coming, I ask myself, will we be ready? I know there are four months to go, but will they be enough to equip us mentally and with everything we need to be parents? I have a lot of anxiety right now, a lot of fear, I feel like crying and it is very difficult for me to share my concerns, because I don't want to frustrate anyone else with my anxiety. That's why I decided to write because after draining I feel relieved as if God took each of my tears and words and held them in his hands, reminding me that everything will be okay, that there is nothing to be afraid of. That's what I want to remember every time I read this post "there is nothing to be afraid of", even though my emotions may be like the ones in my head. Even though my emotions are like the waves of the sea, they go up and down but I must trust, believe, have faith and keep going, working to give the best to my little Helen that is growing inside of me. The most amazing gift God has ever given me.
What I was, was wonderful. What I am today thanks to you is the best thing that ever happened to me.🌼
