Hi fellow Hiveians,

Today I wanted to share some of the awesome views we got of the White Mountains in New Hampshire on our recent time we took!

White Mountain Lookouts

New Hampshire is definitely one of my favorite places to go because it's got so many different things going on in it! The range from the ocean where we spend a lot of our time all the way up a few thousand feet into the mountains. I think it's definitely one of the most unique places around.

We've been to the White Mountains in New Hampshire quite often, as many people who live in New England do. They are the top chunk of the Appalachian mountains in North America and they span quite a long way! There are dozens of mountains for you to explore and many of them are 4,000 feet all or more. One of these days I plan on getting up into these mountains with the little man to do some great trekking and hiking! I think we could likely hike up one of the smaller ones and may very well do that this fall as a way to have some adventure.

One of the things I enjoy the most about the mountains is certainly the views! There are numerous spots that provide incredible panoramic views of the beautiful mountains so that you can look dozens or hundreds of miles into the distance. With the picture below, I think the closest peak there is about 30 miles away or so, maybe more or less, I'm not an expert just throwing some numbers out there. Behind it and beyond is definitely getting close to a hundred miles. On a nice crisp, clear day like we visited them you can see for so long! Sometimes if you are at the right place and can catch it right, you can see Canada which is awesome!

The summer here is definitely one of a time of beauty. The fall is our favorite when we are in the mountains for sure, for a few reasons and one of the big ones being that there aren't massive amounts of bugs and mosquitoes all over the place lol but the summertime, seeing all of the plants and trees in full bloom and soaking up the beautiful sunlight is incredible. Another great time to check them out is when it's raining or stopping raining. The mountains are covered in a cloud shell and it makes for one hell of a view. I need to grab some of the photos off my work phone that I took, the crisp and clarity on that thing is incredible! Better than my older phone here lol

We stopped at a few different places when we were driving through the mountains and we took a very brief hike to find a spot to take a break from the car. I am hoping that we can spend a little more time in these areas and maybe do a little picnic or something soon! I have a couple other areas that I'd love to check out hopefully before the end of the year, to check out the beautiful vistas that are available.
