Hello friends of Wednesday Walk! I'm glad to be back this Wednesday to tell you about my walk for the day. This time I chose to walk to do two healthy outdoor activities. Keep reading to find out!
Last Saturday I did an outdoor group reading for the first time. The members of the "El Aleph" Book Club sat down in a park to read sitting together, but without talking or commenting on anything, looking to generate a visual impact on the people who were passing by. Since then I've been asking myself, why not do the same on my own?
So I went walking to a park that I don't usually go to, because it's not on my everyday route, and together with me I took a book that would accompany me throughout this morning.
This park is called "Abel Santamaría" in honor of one of the historical figures of Cuba. As if that were not enough, there is a giant monument that, from time to time, acts as a fountain, and there is also a historical museum that talks about the events of July 26, 1953.
The architecture and environmental design of this place is fascinating to me. As it is a very spacious park it is used by several schools to do physical education. There are also dance and sports groups that also meet here. I personally sat down near a library there and began to enjoy my book in peace, without being bothered by the noise of people.
I spent about half an hour and read only two chapters of the book 😂. In my defense, it's a dense story with a very baroque narrative. Then I packed my things and went to pay a visit to my grandmother.
Now it just remains to see how far mr will take my feet next Wednesday. Until then I give you a big greeting, see you in the next adventure 😆.
