🌸💮🏵️🥀🌻Let it grow, let it grow, let it grow!! Part Two: Sunshine + Water = Happiness! 🌸💮🏵️🥀🌻

So, my gorgeous (but still unidentified) bright red flower, which I was so excited about in part one bloomed! But it was so windy that the branch bent over and the flower didn't have a chance to finish its beautiful cycle. 😥

However, despite my previous dubious plant care record, I have managed to find just the right sunshiny spot for it and have been watering it every 3rd day, and Voila!!! She bloomed again! I am so excited to watch it trying so hard to give me as many beautiful flowers as possible, almost in thanks.

In my last entry, I mentioned that my lovely little indoor rose was infested by aphids. I was sincerely concerned that we would not see it live through the week.

Thank heavens @zakludick was able to help me spray it with a vinegar and water solution and methodically removed brown leaves. The stalks remained beautifully green, and regrowth has begun! We have a whole bunch of new buds starting to sprout! I am just hoping it will start sprouting new leaves so that it can photosynthesize!

Inside our home, our indoor lilies are doing really well in the bathroom, but alas, we have not had a flower from the peace lily since I got the plant in years. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. The Big lily with the larger leaves was given to me last year by @juliadick and is also doing beautifully, but I'm not seeing any buds appearing. Sigh... And before you ask, I have tried banana peel water. 😥

Outside our home, @zakludick is growing a wonderful food garden, but near our braai area, we also have a lemon tree and a lovely edible plant that I'm sure both @zakludick and @fermentedphil can help me identify as one of the plants we tried at the tasting table at the Sustainability Institute two weeks ago with @urban.scout.

Every time I go outside into our garden, or walk around in our living area, I feel so blessed to be surrounded by such physical reminders of beauty, but most importantly what happens when you put love, effort, water and sunshine into your life!
