To start an active day in Jamaica, we would go to the east of the island in a rustic car, while listening to good classic reggae.
We would stop at the foot of the blue mountain range to take some pictures to remember the moment and tell our children about our second honeymoon in Jamaica.
Then we would visit, walking as we like to know the places where we go, one of the coffee producing farms. We would taste their beans and accompany the roasting process to finally end the day watching the sunset with a steaming cup of blue mountain coffee in our hands. It is possible that this variety of coffee is an aphrodisiac and added fun to the nights of our second honeymoon 🤭.
I’m not too fond of that much this exclusive coffee brewed on V60.
Although it was a bit under-extracted, it had a bit of bitterness in its taste profile. That was the case when I bought this exact coffee from the Dabov coffee shops when I was in Sofia. I found it brilliant when prepared on the espresso machine, yet not that sweet and tasty when enjoying it filter brewed.
It was brass monkey weather outside...
We had a choice of hot and cold drinks, toasties, sandwiches, crisps and cakes. We settled on a latte and a cup of hot chocolate to warm us up. Sometimes, chocolate drinks can be a bit watery but this was perfect.
LOL! Costa has taken a sluggish way out this year.
It's simple, which I appreciate, but epically lazy. They've gone for a snowman holding a present. The snowman has on a hat, neck scarf and gloves. The image is impressed on their regular cup with everything in the same place, including the "Costa Coffee" logo.
Delina Delícia Café and the roll cake
Delina is one of those super charming cafes that invite you to stay a while longer. All the decoration of the space is made with handicraft pieces typical of the Brazilian northeast, which means that everything there is super rustic and colourful.
...and most likely many people would like to visit both the countries
Jamaica - I have a special attitude towards this country, not only because I have an affinity for reggae music, but also because they have maybe what is one of the most famous coffee varieties in the world - Blue Mountain coffee. Jamaica has stunning beauty. Blue mountain gives the name of this coffee, but I think they have multiple varieties growing there.
Indonesia - is a perfect tourist location and I have never dreamt about visiting Bali! You can easily fall in love with nature, even from the photos. But… we talk about Kopi Luwak here. Why is this coffee so famous? The locals then saw this particular animal eating coffee cherries then pooping the beans. No one wanted these beans so the locals started consuming them, finding that they were not bad at all…I think you can find a lot of excellent coffee in Indonesia, but Copi Luwak is just a NO for me. 😁
So my choice in this case easily would be Jamaica!
The coffee that I bought is Arabica honey processed coffee beans.
The honey process is one of the post-harvest processes of coffee beans. The honey process is made by drying the coffee beans directly after the skin-peeling process. In the general post-harvest coffee process, the peeled coffee beans are washed thoroughly before being sun-dried or dried, and this is what distinguishes it from the honey process.
I would not hesitate to try Kopi Luwak coffee and interview myself.
With its people, I am learning its most indigenous processing techniques and the particular characteristics that indeed distinguish each of the places in the country where this rare variety is produced. I would even like someone experienced in adulthood to explain to me why they decided to value the leftovers left by this animal.
Surely at this point, you are already thinking that I am missing a screw in my head, but I assure you that it is not like that, rather the opposite I am expeditionary of the world, and I deeply respect the culture and values of people and the characteristics of populations
Jamaica is a country where the landscapes, the music, the people, its history and coffee are the attraction for me.
Like every coffee lover, there are endless cups of Blue Mountain coffee from Jamaica. So when I taste it I realize that I like its smooth, sweet and creamy taste, but I give it a touch of cream and I am fortunate to enjoy my vacation in this paradise and to know the benefits of Blue Mountain, the best coffee in the world. I will take a souvenir for my family to Venezuela.
