Good day, amazing people of the Hive Blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. It is another edition in the #hive-reachout community. I am so delighted to participate in this week's prompts: a mistake that wasn’t.

Life, they say, is not predictable. There are times we do things and we think it is right, and most times you take a decision thinking it is wrong and end up finding out that was the best decision ever. Most times I will make decisions thinking that it is the wrong thing, and it turns out to be the best decision I have ever made. There are some things we will be disappointed by people for, and it turns out to be a blessing to us.

There is nothing bad in making mistakes; most times our mistakes happen to be the best decision we made. I don’t think there is anyone that is above mistakes; even when you are too careful, you will find out that you are making a mistake.

Like they always say, nobody is above mistakes, and there is nothing bad in making mistakes. I have made some mistakes that turned out to be the best things that have ever happened to me. I am the kind of person that depends on one source of income; whenever I see opportunities or a friend comes up with an idea, I would like to invest in the business.

One faithful day I received a call from my friend telling me to invest fifty hundred thousand in his business. He noticed that I was doubting him, thinking he would eat my money. He said I should just send the money directly to the company account. When I was transferring the money, before I could realise my mistake, I had already sent five hundred thousand to the company, and that money was for my dad’s burial. I called the company to refund me the money, but they said they couldn’t send back the money to me. I was so confused.

The pressure was mostly from home because they have printed the post for the burial, and there is no way they can adjust the date a month to the burial. My friend paid me back the money with interest; I received one million naira from him. The mistake I made happens to be the right thing.

I was so happy that my mistake brought interest for me. Because even the five hundred thousand will not be enough, but with the interest, I was able to give my dad a befitting burial. Most times a mistake brings a blessing.

This is my entry on the weekly prompt #hive-reachout topic: a mistake that wasn’t.
