Hello everyone it's your girl @chisom13❤️
The movie, Voicemails for Isabelle, is an emotional romantic drama. It centers on love, grief, the difficulty of letting go, healing, and family.
The movie centers on Jill, whose life was deeply affected by the loss of her sister. Before the death of her sister, she shared every single thing with her. Jill's whole world revolved around her. The times they laughed together over little things, having someone to talk to about her day, having someone who makes her happiness her number one priority, the world felt lighter with her sister in her life.
It turns out, no-one ever truly prepares for grief. It just happens and then you're caught unaware. The pain is so unbearable and there is no manual that tells you how to keep living when life suddenly feels different.
Jill knew her sister was critically ill, but never thought that one day, she was going to learn how to navigate through life without the only person that mattered more than anything to her. She felt more alone than ever, she didn't just lose a sister, she lost herself, she struggled to keep it all together, she didn't want to let-go. Sometimes people hold on to a person, memory or situation because they are afraid that moving forward means they are forgetting what they had.
The voicemails were more than just recorded messages, it was the only way Jill felt connected to her sister. A part of her that didn't want to accept the grief, a part of her that wasn't ready to let go.
That's where family, and emotional support comes in. During difficult periods, having someone to always listen to you, a shoulder you can always cry on, someone who can feel the pain you're feeling, someone who would do anything just to make you happy and help you heal, someone who will always be there to comfort to, having people like that, makes healing easier. Love isn't always about romance, it can also be found in family, friends, people who stay by your side during the most difficult moments of your life.
Overall, Voicemails for Isabelle is a touching movie about learning to live with loss while finding the courage to move forward. It's never easy, they say it gets easier to carry with time, but sometimes it's not always true. Sometimes you get triggered when you see a photo, or an item that once belonged to that person. Sometimes you wish there was a portal, where you can easily just communicate with that your loved one, even if it's just to say "Hello", sometimes you worry about how they are faring and if they are happy wherever they are.
It's important to also know that, in the midst of the pain, you need to find other beautiful things to hold onto, someone or something that will make life worth living again. You will need to let go at some point. Letting go doesn't mean you will forget completely about your loved one, and healing does not mean that the past no longer matters.
I would recommend this movie for anyone who is in the process of finding peace after the loss of a loved one.
