This is only one of my endless musings. I like it when love comes into play. Recently, I have a muse, one I don't explore too often.
Take a look.
In your eyes,
I see you,
I see beauty untamed;
Great forests, old rivers,
Silent mountains.
I feel the soft, fleeting touch
That is your soul
And I want to fly with you.
I sense a song sitting still
On the sheet that is your body.
I wonder what it would be like
To hear the music that will sing
If I just touch your hips.
I wonder what sort of duet
We would spill from our bodies
When we collide like two stars
Lost in space, lost in dark.
In your body, I see the strength
Of a leaf in the wind;
Tossed, pulled, spun out of control,
But coming home whole.
I wonder if I would add
To that strength or if you
Would shore me up with it
On the days when my legs falter.
You are like mirrors of a god;
A sleeping god waiting for
Water and light to awaken her
And begin her work of enriching.
You are like a sun, an older sun,
Not this ball of twisting flames,
But something older and distant.
You have spied the beginning of the universe
In the depths of your soul
And you understand that beauty
Is not in tomorrow but in today.
