रूपिंदर कौर जब छोटी थी तब उनके पिता ने उन्हें गलत तरीके़े से छूने की कोशिश की. इस घटना ने रूपिंदर को अंदर तक हिलाकर रख दिया और जब ये बात उन्होनें अपनी मां को बताई. तो उनकी मां ने घर छोड़ने का फैसला किया. अब रूपिंदर की मां को घर की ज़िम्मेदारी संभालनी थी. इस दौरान उन्होनें रूपिंदर को पढ़ने भी भेजा. पर रूपिंदर बस दसवीं तक अपनी पढ़ाई पूरी कर पाई. उसके बाद उनकी शादी हो गई. पर शादी के बाद उन्हें पता चला कि उनके पति का extra marital affair है. जिससे उन्हें काफी दुख पंहुचा. पर समाज के ताने के कारण वह अपने पति को छोड़ नहीं पाई. पर थोड़े समय बाद उन्होनें ये फैसला किया कि वो अपनी पति का घर छोड़ देगीं. जिसके बाद उन्होनें अपने बच्चे की जिम्मेदारी ली और घर चलाने के लिए नौकरी करना शुरु कर दिया. धीरे-धीरे रूपिंदर की मेहनत से उनके सारे सपने सच होते गए. आज रूपिंदर एक टीवी चैनल में एंकर हैं.

Rupinder’s father physically abused at a tender age of 8. This incident shook Rupinder from inside. When she told this to her mother, her mother decided to leave the house. Now Rupinder's mother had to take care of the house. After that, her mother started working as a maid and rupinder was married off. Rupinder started her new life with her husband however, after 10 months she got to know about her husband’s extra marital affair. But after marriage, she came to know that her husband has an extramarital affair. Due to which she suffered a lot. She left her husband’s home and started living with her two kids. During that period she faced a lot of difficulties but she didn’t stop. Gradually, Rupinder's hard work made all his dreams come true. Today, she is a TV presenter in a news channel.
Setting an inspiring example to take things in your own hands no matter what the situation is, Rupinder Kaur talks about how she came to peace with her mind and her body, by loving herself and working on getting better in every aspect of life.
