Mabuhay Splinters! Let me share a battle of one of my favorite Monsters in Splinterlands, the SILVERSHIELD KNIGHT.
NAME: SILVERSHIELD KNIGHT
ELEMENT: LIFE
RARITY: COMMON
EDITION: ALPHA / BETA
ATTACKS: MELEE
ABILITIES: LVL 1 INSPIRE / LVL 4 PIERCING / LVL 8 TRAMPLE
The Knights are the law enforcement arm of the Order of the Silver Shield. They are well-trained in horseback riding and skilled in the use of a vast array of weaponry. If enemies are not felled by the Knights’ lances, daggers, and crossbows, they will be trampled by the footfalls of the steeds.
This is a fight between 1,700 and 1,674 Rating in Rank Battle. Our battle has a 26 mana cap with no battle standards/restrictions.
I am doing my daily quest at that moment (win three matches without any neutral monsters) so I chose Tyrus Paladium *1 Light Splinter and set the SILVER SHIELD KNIGHT in the front line followed by Luminous Eagle in 2nd position and Feral Spirit and Hero of Beyond in mid and backline position.
In the beginning, all of my monsters got +1 Def from my Splinter Tyrus Paladium and +1 Melee from our very own hero SILVERSHIELD KNIGHT's Inspire. On the other side, all of my enemy monsters got +1 health from his Splinter.
The battle started with a ranged attack of Child of the Forest. My enemy has 2 melee - Flesh Golem *1 and Minotour Warrior *1, 3 ranged attack monsters- Child of the Forest 1, Centaur1 and Earth Elemental *1 , 1 magic attack- Goblin Sorcerer *1.
My enemy's Child of the Forest and Centaur has snipe ability combined with a Goblin Sorcerer that has Sneak ability this will keep them hitting my backline monster that has the lowest speed - Hero of Beyond, kudos to its base 8hp and 2 def (1+1 from splinter) it will take them some time to take down this hero wannabe lol.
In the frontline, our very own SILVER SHIELD KNIGHT is battling with the rest of my enemy's monsters, the Flesh Golem, the Minotaur Warrior, and Earth Elemental. With a 2 Melee attack, 2 Def, 5 Hp, and 4 Speed our Star survived and wiped his foes with all of his might! Kudos to its Inspire ability my Luminous Eagle and Feral Cat got a +1 Melee attack advantage.
Look closely at how the Earth Elemental put all of its might trying to diminish the SILVER SHIELD KNIGHT!
The battle ended with me as the winning team, I got +20 Battle Rating and +11.556 DEC from 52.29% Capture Rate.
Team buffs and proper monster positioning had the most impact on this game, choosing a monster that will enhance your team's stats and ability will give you a good position in a battle. Proper monster positioning is also one of the keys in winning every battle in both lower and higher leagues.
