Buenas noches, querida comunidad de @Holozing! Espero que todos se encuentren muy bien y que este fin de semana traiga consigo momentos de tranquilidad y descanso. Hoy les traigo una nueva pieza que ha puesto a prueba mi paciencia. Esta vez quise representar al peque帽o drag贸n Tiderion, tenia en mente rodearlo con un entorno con algo de agua, pero les confieso que fue una carrera para m铆 avanzar con este dibujo, ya que decid铆 trabajarlo usando la tableta gr谩fica, herramienta con las que a煤n estoy familiariz谩ndome. Ha sido un proceso de adaptaci贸n, especialmente en lo que respecta a la presi贸n del l谩piz y la fluidez de los trazos. A pesar de los desaf铆os, me encant贸 el resultado y la manera en que los nuevos pinceles y texturas me ayudaron a enriquecer los detalles de la ilustraci贸n. Hubo momentos que me salte guardar avances por poner toda mi atenci贸n en dibujar viendo las herramientas y buscar nuevas opciones para aplicar al dibujo y as铆 identificarlas. Me llev贸 tiempo soltar la mano y sentirme c贸moda con la nueva din谩mica de dibujo, pero cada intento me permite mejorar y ajustar mi t茅cnica. Ha sido un d铆a agotador, pero al mismo tiempo gratificante. Lograr esta pieza me llena de satisfacci贸n, y espero que esta representaci贸n de Tiderion les guste mucho.
Good evening, dear @Holozing community! I hope you are all feeling great and that this weekend brings with it moments of tranquility and rest. Today I bring you a new piece that has tested my patience. This time I wanted to represent the little dragon Tiderion, I had in mind to surround him with an environment with some water, but I confess that it was a race for me to move forward with this drawing, since I decided to work it using the graphic tablet, a tool with which I am still getting familiar. It has been a process of adaptation, especially regarding the pressure of the pencil and the fluidity of the strokes. Despite the challenges, I loved the result and the way the new brushes and textures helped me to enrich the details of the illustration. There were times when I skipped saving progress because I put all my attention on drawing by looking at the tools and looking for new options to apply to the drawing to identify them. It took me time to let my hand go and get comfortable with the new drawing dynamics, but each attempt allows me to improve and adjust my technique. It has been an exhausting day, but at the same time rewarding. Achieving this piece fills me with satisfaction, and I hope you like this representation of Tiderion very much.
Comenc茅 con un boceto b谩sico para definir la postura de Tiderion. Quer铆a que tuviera algo de similitud a un gato acical谩ndose, lo hayo muy tierno. Luego aplique un color base tratando de tener el control de la presi贸n del l谩piz y con la base lista, pas茅 a trabajar en los colores fundamentales de este drag贸n, bas谩ndome en las tonalidades de la criatura base, segu铆 usando variaciones con una paleta que le diera un efecto semirealista.
I started with a basic sketch to define Tiderion's pose. I wanted it to have some resemblance to a cat grooming itself, I found it very tender. Then I applied a base color trying to have control of the pencil pressure and with the base ready, I went on to work on the fundamental colors of this dragon, based on the shades of the base creature, I kept using variations with a palette that gave it a semi-realistic effect.
En 茅sta parte fue interesante el proceso, porque me tom茅 el tiempo de probar distintos pinceles, buscando aquellos que ayudaran a darle m谩s textura a la piel de Tiderion. Y fui viendo algunas texturas que aportaron realismo y profundidad, lo que me permiti贸 mejorar los detalles del cuerpo y las sombras. Aqu铆 fue donde realmente puse a prueba mi paciencia. El ajustar la presi贸n del l谩piz y conseguir trazos m谩s fluidos fue un desaf铆o mayor de lo esperado. En algunos momentos, y tuve que hacer ajustes para que el resultado se sintiera m谩s natural. Fue un proceso nuevo en el que tengo que acostumbrarme.
In this part of the process was interesting, because I took the time to try different brushes, looking for those that would help to give more texture to Tiderion's skin. And I was seeing some textures that brought realism and depth, which allowed me to improve the details of the body and the shadows. This is where I really tested my patience. Adjusting the pencil pressure and getting more fluid strokes was more challenging than expected. At times, and I had to make adjustments to make the result feel more natural. It was a new process that I have to get used to.
Para ir culminando, a帽ad铆 efectos de iluminaci贸n sutiles con pinceles sencillos y revis茅 las capas de mezcla. Me asegur茅 de que cada detalle estuviera armonizado y que el personaje tuviera ese brillo especial que quer铆a transmitir.
To top it off, I added subtle lighting effects with simple brushes and reviewed the blending layers. I made sure that every detail was harmonized and that the character had that special glow I wanted to convey.
S茅 que con el tiempo lograr茅 soltar m谩s la mano y manejar mejor cada herramienta, pero este proceso me ha ense帽ado que cada intento es un paso mas. I know that with time I will be able to loosen my hand more and handle each tool better, but this process has taught me that each attempt is another step. I deeply appreciate your company once again tonight. I love being able to share with you in every drawing. I wish you all a beautiful evening.
