Hoy estoy complacido como siempre de presentarles a una criatura que he tenido el gusto de reinterpretar y traer a la vida de una manera m谩s humanizada. Se trata de Zingu, este adorable ping眉ino del mundo Holozing por su lindura y peculiaridad. A trav茅s de este retrato, he buscado dar un toque 煤nico y personal imagin谩ndolo en una versi贸n humanizada que creo mantiene su esencia peculiar y carism谩tica. Espero que les guste tanto como yo!. Hello to all wonderful @Holozing community. It's a pleasure to be with you again tonight, sharing my walk and learning through digital art in this corner full of creativity and inspiration. Before I begin, I want to extend a very special greeting to the administrators who make this space possible, and also to the amazing @Acidyo who is always supporting this vibrant community. Today I am pleased as always to introduce you to a creature that I have had the pleasure of reinterpreting and bringing to life in a more humanized way. This is Zingu, this adorable penguin from the Holozing world for his cuteness and quirkiness. Through this portrait, I have sought to give a unique and personal touch by imagining him in a humanized version that I believe maintains his peculiar and charismatic essence. Todo comenz贸 con un boceto donde defin铆 las proporciones y la forma general que quer铆a representar. Inspir谩ndome en las caracter铆sticas 煤nicas de Zingu, trac茅 l铆neas suaves y org谩nicas centr谩ndome en un rostro femenino. En este punto me enfoqu茅 en la pose y los detalles faciales, imaginando a Zingu con una expresi贸n algo seria propia de su su naturaleza. Una vez satisfecha con el boceto, cre茅 una capa para los colores base. Utilic茅 una paleta fr铆a que equilibrara tambi茅n tonos saturados, con acentos vibrantes como azul para darle un toque din谩mico tal como sus caracter铆sticas. Aqu铆 comienza la magia, usando el modo de mezcla normal en capas adicionales, trabaj茅 las sombras para a帽adir profundidad al dise帽o. Posteriormente, para las luces, utilic茅 el modo normal para resaltar puntos clave como el rostro, las manos y detalles.
It all started with a sketch where I defined the proportions and the general shape I wanted to represent. Inspired by Zingu's unique characteristics, I drew soft and organic lines focusing on a female face. At this point I focused on the pose and facial details, imagining Zingu with a somewhat serious expression befitting her nature. Once I was satisfied with the sketch, I created a layer for the base colors. I used a cool palette to balance saturated tones as well, with vibrant accents like blue to give him a dynamic touch just like his features. Here the magic begins, using the normal blending mode on additional layers, I worked the shadows to add depth to the design. Later, for the highlights, I used the normal mode to highlight key points such as the face, hands and details.
A帽ad铆 una capa m谩s para trabajar los peque帽os detalles que hacen especial a Zingu, como los ojos brillantes, las texturas en su abrigo con pincel de puntillismo y los patrones sutiles que complementan su car谩cter. Es en esta etapa donde las peque帽as pinceladas hacen que el dibujo cobre vida. Para enmarcar el retrato, inclu铆 un fondo sencillo pero con colores que complementan la paleta principal de Zingu. Este paso fue complementario para mantener el foco en el personaje mientras aportaba un toque final armonioso. Finalmente, revis茅 cada capa para asegurarme de que los detalles estuvieran alineados y equilibrados. Us茅 herramientas como el ajuste de color y un poco de gaussiano en ciertas 谩reas para a帽adir suavidad y enfoque donde era necesario. Cerrando con una capa de brillo para resaltar un poco los ojos y la diadema como tambi茅n un poco de puntos de brillos en su entorno.
I added one more layer to work on the small details that make Zingu special, such as the bright eyes, the textures on her coat with a pointillism brush and the subtle patterns that complement her character. It is at this stage that the small brushstrokes bring the drawing to life. To frame the portrait, I included a simple background but with colors that complement Zingu's main palette. This step was complementary to keep the focus on the character while adding a harmonious finishing touch. Finally, I checked each layer to make sure the details were aligned and balanced. I used tools like color adjustment and a bit of Gaussian in certain areas to add softness and focus where needed. Closing with a glow layer to bring out the eyes and headband a bit as well as some spot glows around them.
