Splinterlands:

Splinterlands is a collectible card game (web3 game) running on Hive Blockchain. You can play ranked battles with the cards and earn rewards for every Battle win.

To earn an SPS reward per battle win and to gain access to all important game features, you will need to purchase Summoner Spellbook which costs 10$ (One time purchase).

Creating a Free-to-Play Splinterlands Account

If you already have an HIVE Blockchain account, you don't need to register for a new account on the Splinterlands game. Just log in to the game using your Hive Username and Private Posting Key. You can also use the Hive Keychain Extension to log in (Recommended Option). If you are a mobile user, then download the Hive Keychain Application on your mobile. (Make sure your Hive Keychain Extension is installed in your PC Browser before logging in to the game.)

If you are completely new to the HIVE Blockchain. Then Follow the below steps to create your Splinterlands account.

Steps for creating an Account on Splinterlands

Click on the log in > Register > (Enter username, email, referral account) > Create an account.
Once your account is ready. Then log in with your Email and Password.

Play Your First - Free2Play Battle
Free to play Users can play battles in a Modern format (Recommended for new users). Wild Format allows us to use all cards in the battle, but we need to purchase a wild pass to play battles in wild format. The modern format allows us to use recent card sets and base card sets which come with a free-to-play account. To upgrade the level of base cards, you need to purchase and combine them.

Steps [Play battles in a modern format.]:

First, click on the 'Play Now' button.
Then click on the 'Battle' button.
After that 'Seeking Enemy' window will pop up. Wait for a few seconds to start the battle.
Once the match begins, click the 'Create Team' Button.

First, select one summoner. There are a total of 6 splinters such as fire, water, earth, life, death, and dragon. Select a summoner of your choice of splinters. If you choose water splinter then you can use only water monsters.
Here, I used Kelya Frendul water summoner. So, I can use only water monsters.

I'm going to use the Disintegrator monster in the first position. This melee attack monster has a Demoralize ability which reduces enemy melee attacks by one.

In the second position, I am using a monster with Reach ability which allows melee monsters to attack from the second position.

Now, I am using one ranged monster in the third position.

And one monster with a 'Tank heal' ability in the fourth position. It will help to heal my first monster.

In the fifth position, I will use a melee monster with the 'Opportunity' Ability, which allows it to attack from any position. This monster will also attack enemy monsters with lower health.

My total mana cap is reached. So, clicked on the 'Battle' button.

My strategy worked so well and I won this battle easily. Also, I earned 33 Glint rewards for winning this battle.

Free2Play Gameplay features

Earn 'Glint reward' for winning battles. Spend your glint balance to purchase chest or other items in the 'Glint shop'.
You can use level one started cards for free to play the battles. [Chaos legion cards are also used in modern battles but need to be purchased or need to be rented.]
Join Guilds and participate in the guild brawls, You will earn some brawl rewards according to your guilds performance.
Limitations: You cannot earn SPS rewards for winning battles. You can't hold SPS/DEC tokens. Also, You can't sell, transfer, and rent out cards. Also, many important game features are not accessible.

Purchase Spellbook which costs only 10$ which allows you to earn SPS rewards and access all features in the game.

You can purchase it with crypto. You can easily pay with USDC with your Coinbase wallet. Just select USDC coin and click on 'PAY'. So easy... 😊

Rent these cards which will cost you very little amount of DEC & it will help you improve your battle strategy.

These cards are one of my favorite ones and cheaper rate. See this screenshot, I suggested 6 cards which cost around 110 DEC for 15 days according to the current price. One season lasts for around 15 days. [Don't forget to check the level of cards. You can use higher-level monsters only if your summoner's level is also higher]. If you rent some other monster cards worth around 190 DEC. Then you will need a total of 300 DEC per season which costs you only 0.25 USD. With this very little amount, you can start earning well from the Splinterlands game. Also, with experience, you will get to know more things and you can progress faster in the game.
