Quiet Sydney city day - art and history old and new : August 13 2026

Body needs a quiet day. Got one lining up - Cheese and Wine lunch. A collection of old timers from Commonwealth Bank and University of Sydney started a long time ago.

We had a great lunch with a smaller group. Food was good. Wine all came from a well known Hunter Valley vineyard - Tamburlaine

Part of the lunch is a trivia competition - prize - a bar of chocolate each - we won. Got tie wrong one of which I knew - Diet - Japan

Art on a different scale in the new Gadigal Metro station - it matches the scale of the the walkways - huge arches

Cannot boast about house work - toasted sandwich for my dinner
