The sun came out. Been rainy for days. Trains running for the weekend - not been doing that for a while. Took the chance to catch the train up to Berowra to walk a section of fire trails up there not walked before starting from where I have walked
A few street flowers on the way - iNat says this is a cestrum originally from America

Walked into Berowra Valley NP where I walked out the last few walks. Do know there are orchids down this trail

Did find helmet orchids about where Insaw them last walk. Darkening colour suggests end of season for spurred helmet orchids. Last walk there were heaps flowering

Joalah FT joins Berkeley FT - first time walking to the right. I normally walk out the way I came in. Nice wide trail - let's see how the track work affected orchid populations on the edges. Front end of the walk is still rain forest

Found a few more orchid clusters in the rainforest section - spurred helmet orchid - 2nd cluster for the day
In the same cluster a seeded greenhood orchid - probably sharp greenhood. A lot up and down this trail

Intersect the Great North Walk back to Crosslands and Hornsby beyond
Part of me wants to walk the whole thing but the one big segment I did was hard work with not a lot of orchid reward

A big walk. More than expected. Good to find orchids on a new track
My wife was helping a friend make some new slacks. Was taking a lot longer than expected. Landed up cooking dinner for the two ladies. Peking duck and Hungarian goulash plus veges
