Head down on a grey day starting to work on my own tax accounting. At last my accountant had sent the things I asked for months ago. Will help me focus the digging I have to do. Got to say I hate taxes and grey days. Did that for a whole and the cloud started to break
Walked down to the local creek across the golf course - a warm day for July and a quiet golf course. Time to get my act together to get back to playing

Mushroom season - a splash of red

A few chiloglottis plants surviving the track work - nothing budding
Trim greenhood also survived the track work. One colony gone but this one is good

Budding acianthus orchid - veining on leaf and shape of the bud suggests it is a new season find

One more on a mossy bank. There are two types that flower late along this way - going to guess this is chiloglottis formicifera - wavy edges to leaf is a clue. Will know in a week
Next step on the acianthus ID - a bit better developed - first season sighting of mayfly orchid - acianthus caudatus

Was hoping these would be flowering. Not a spike for a known colony of pterostylis nutans
Tried out some manual camera settings on this mushroom. The bright bit grabs the light - tried to tone that down. Might need a course
