Promise of nodding greenhoods in Richmond Park, Gordon : June 4 2026 I
It's an at home day. Focused in on doing this week's investing stuff and updating a product Inam supporting. It produced a few wrinkles. That needed time out in the open- walk local to check on some greenhood orchids in the rain forest
Double camellia caught my eye - all riffled up in the middle
This is what the full form of the flower is
Kookaburra was chomping stuff on the ground and then headed to the railing - would not let me get closer
Reason for the walk - check on nodding greenhoods - a fee buds just forming
This one a bit further behind - going to be many more flowers this season than last year
Mushroom off track - someone else way have walked this way
One more budding - pretty sure these are pterostylis nutans - a known location

A cluster of flowering mosquito orchids
Light is low for a 3pm walk - hard ride get a good photo of this mosquito orchid. Colour and shape of the labellum suggest acianthus exsertus but the calli and wider helmet say acianthus fornicatus
Need to walk this in mid morning to have better light. This walk always comes as an afternoon idea - check Richmond Park on a loop walk to tbe shops
House for sale - it has two street numbers - maybe a double block not developed yet

Did get the shipping done. Did cook dinner for a friend - Italian meatballs and pasta and salad. Yum
