Different Rainforest Track to find Orchids : February 21 2022
Forecast was for rain all day. Blue sky morning did not agree. I got on the bike to walk a rainforest track not walked for a while. My favourite track is closed for trackwork.

Disturbed a few lace monitor lizards - this one up the tree
An example of nature working together. Mound is a brush turkey mound keeping eggs warm. Mushrooms are up top converting mulch to nutrients. Zoom in and see ants eating the mushroom

First orchid of the day is a bonnet orchid between the track and the water

Good to get a ride in and to find orchids. I knew they were there but have not seen them flowering
