Struggled to get started on tax stuff. Did a bit and then went cycling to local National Park. Cloudy day made for a quieter trip with few cars. I did note coffee shop was closed (open last week).
Went to walk a regular track up from the old Inn to seek out orchids. Plan was to explore a location for rock orchids found last year.
Plant I found last week had flowers on an easier side to photograph. Had a good look on the rock face on the other side of the track and spotted more - a new location.
Found this mushroom below well off the track
Was really excited to see these greenhood orchids clinging to the rock well above my head.
Pterostylis acuminata - Sharp greenhood. Was kind of hoping I could get in above them to get closer photos. Did find the wasp orchids along the way.
Then was able to get above the greenhoods with one growing safely away from the big drop off a mossy bank
Found more wasp orchids higher up the track in a known location
Coming back down came across these mosquito orchids at eye level on top of one of the rock ledges.
They are so delicate with gossamer wings. Small mosquito orchid - acianthus pusillus.
Steady ride back home and back into tax accounts. I can see the end but I do have one tricky accounting area to cover and solve.
My wife asked me to join her for a walk into national park. She is over the working from home thing. We went down Sphinx walking track - lots of stairs and a few mushrooms
And banksia flowers but no orchids.
Bbq dinner - no photos.
Trade action: Stayed up late for US market open at 11:30pm. Bought RUN and CLF and added more QQQ hedges. Wrote covered calls on a few stocks.
