I feel better now. :) The teapot did not shatter! Yes!!!! covid-con-finement Now we have young militants gluing their hands to museum paintings. Makes me wish all the galleries were still closed and safe

Thank you @scribblingramma! Every day from November to April, I read Susie Larson's Daily Blessings and shared them with Kelly. Who could be more positive and uplifting than Susie, reminding us of all

FOUR brothers.... ohhhh that is hard.... and all in their 20s. I'm so sorry!! My mom and yours - trust in God and heaven! Beautiful words: "Sometimes God reaches down and picks the flowers."

I LOVE THIS STORY and the last line is the best - but the red teapot in the picture had better not be the one that broke, as I love it. Can you also assure us the teapot didn't really shatter? LOL. I'm

Thank you. The "poor soul" is each of my sisters - gone! - while I, for no reason, get to live. Death is no respecter of persons, cancer is no respecter of social class or wealth....

Thanks for the kind words. It's not as consoling as the NDEs saying we live on, sentient and all, but I'll take whatever is next, even if it's NOTHING, because what else can we do? Who has battled death

I'm back, sort of, for a brief spell.... who knows, maybe I'll stick around. Ennui - now that's a great prompt, and @owasco nailed it. We both have been slammed hard with loss of a loved one. Thanks everyone

No need to be sorry - I've been silent, too! Today for the first time in forever I posted something for the 5-minute freewrite. Love "ennui" and 'brutal' and The Champ and that photo of your

#wonderful, it is! First, we should all heed the imperative to make sure our Last Will and Testament is up to date and legal. My sister's was not notarized in Germany, and it has cost her daughters ten

Ohhhhh, beautiful (and brutal) but above all BEAUTIFUL, @owasco! The Champ - masterful! Proving that you are still "poeting" (hey, if impact can become a verb, so can "to poet," right?).

Stacey you wrote this? WOW!!!!

How do you keep the memories out....? As I peel and cut apples, I keep thinking of my 3 departed sisters. How they loved autumn, and apple crisp, and all things pumpkin. How they should he HERE now, here

I am so sorry for the loss of your son, which eclipses my loss of three outta five sisters (your son, "flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone") - and sorry that you're not writing (I shut down and

You look awesome in your sixties!! Lean and strong and an even better version of the you that you were 50 years ago. You wear it well, the aches and pains and exertions of the years. Love the old photos

You love Moby Dick - *I love you Stacey! * Drizzly November in my soul. Call me Ishmael. (That line inspired a character in "Good Morning, Young Lady.") How are you doing? Are you liking Mary

Ohhh, I hear you, and feel your pain, and applaud your writing style: All roads lead to Spectrum, a scourge upon the earth. Would that Earth could eat this company up and spit it out. Evil lurks among

Futuremind! Oh my, I've been away a long, long time! We need to keep sinners sinning and sick people sick, and we can't have the flat tax or accountants would be out of a job.... Love this: Love this line:

Oh dear, 20 days ago you wrote this.... if you're still at the same address, let me know, and I'll send you some Mary O!

And he thought skating and a swingset were dangerous. - Is the laugh emoji inappopriate here? Rip-tides. My husband's co-worker, during a family vacation, got swept away in one. What a terrible time to
