Greetings dear Creative Cooking community, happy weekend 🤗
Saturday, midday, almost lunchtime, and craving dessert, since it's customary to have something sweet after lunch. Thankfully, I had a few ingredients for a quick and easy recipe, adapted to what I had on hand. So, why not make a mug cake? What a great idea! It's the perfect solution right now.
So I started searching the pantry, gathered all the necessary ingredients: a little flour, some evaporated milk left over from a previous recipe, some chocolate chips, some sugar, a little cocoa powder, etc. With these ingredients, I came up with a fantastic recipe. Yes, this mug cake couldn't have been tastier! It's a great solution for those times when you have few ingredients and want to treat yourself to something sweet and delicious. Plus, it's usually very practical because you eat it straight from the mug—that's great! 👌
-450-500 ml capacity mug
-1/2 cup all-purpose flour
-4 tablespoons sugar
-2 tablespoons cocoa powder
-White and dark chocolate chips, to taste
-1 teaspoon baking powder
-1/4 teaspoon salt
-1/2 cup milk (use any kind you have on hand; in this case, I used evaporated milk)
-3 tablespoons coconut oil or melted butter
-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-For decoration: more chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
Precalentamos el horno a 180 grados.
Now we're going to start putting the ingredients into the cup we've chosen. We'll start by adding the flour, baking powder, and cocoa. Remember to sift the ingredients.
Then we add the salt, sugar, chocolate chips and mix; we have integrated all the dry ingredients.
Add the liquid ingredients, the evaporated milk; remember you can use your preferred milk, including plant-based milk.
We also add coconut oil or butter and vanilla essence.
Mix very well until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
Finally, decorate with more chocolate chips.
We bake it in the oven for approximately 20 to 25 minutes. Remember to do the toothpick test; it should come out dry to ensure that our cake is ready.
Take it out of the oven and you can enjoy it right away! It's delicious hot, but be careful not to burn yourself 😜 If you don't want to burn yourself, wait for it to cool. The best part is that you don't even need to serve it, because you can enjoy it right in the mug you made it in 😉 This definitely turned out great! 👌
Serves: You can share this recipe with someone else; my husband and I enjoyed it at home 😍
I hope you liked the recipe and try making it at home; if you're a chocolate lover, you're going to love this!
