Hello everyone! I'm not too good with writing introductions, so I'll try to keep this one short and sweet. My name is Sarah, I'm almost 23 and I've been writing stories since I was 8, though most of them are bad if re-read today. I have really vivid dreams, and pretty much all of my ideas came from a dream at some point. I write because I really want people to see the same things I saw when I dreamt them. Slowly I keep picking up the plots and story ideas and making them into real coherent stories that one day I hope to write, even if it's just for my own sense of accomplishment. I love using weird names in my writing, character names, shop names, towns and cities etc.
Now I have over 10 stories I want to write planned out, but I'm barely through my first one. Been actively writing my current wip for 1 year, got the original idea when I was maybe 15 or so, and I'm maybe 60k words into it. Actually trying to write it has been difficult, especially with work and university , but I'm really enjoying it and find myself falling in love with my story every day. I typically write fantasy stories, think along the lines of Lord of the Rings. It's just the time period I prefer.
I'm generally a very shy person but when it comes to something I love, I have trouble shutting up and other than writing, I enjoy reading (currently reading GRRM's A Clash of Kings and Scott Lynch's The Lies of Locke Lamora. I also enjoy playing video games (mainly RPGs, such as The Elder Scrolls and Fallout, but I'm currently doing a playthrough of the original Thief series.
Other then these I love travelling too because travelling helps us broaden our perspective and understand the world around us. We become aware of the problems we have at home and how they affect others. We realize that we need to change something if we want to make things better. Travelling gives us the opportunity to develop ourselves. We learn new skills, improve our communication abilities and sharpen our minds. It’s amazing what you can achieve when you go out of your comfort zone.
Below are the pictures which I took with my smartphone during my trip to a small but a beautiful lake.
