That will work, it softens and even destroys the exoskeleton of bugs. my only problem with it is that is very powdery, like crumbled chalk. So if you top water, it will become a paste. But great to mix

I can see the video now. I wouldn't worry too much. That doesn't seem like an infestation at all. Absolutely no need to pollute your plants with pesticides at this moment. It is normal to see critters
