What Is It Like to Have a Pet?
Hello, amazing #indiaunited friends. Thank God it is Thursday. Excited about the weekend. Then I am with you. Welcome to my blog.
Pets are domestic animals people keep at home for security or to keep the owner company. Growing up with my parents, we had 5 cats at different times. Some of their names were Brown, Mars, Black, Tiger, etc. Their names were to their colour or behaviour. The one named Tiger was an aggressive Cat and had skin that looked like a Tiger.
For us then, it started as a security outfit against rat infestation around that area. However, when we brought the Cat home, it became more of a companion for the family. The cat was trained to eat only cooked meat and food, so when she kills a rat, she brings it to the living room or even one of the rooms to show that she caught one. That way, we will rub her head and call her names for a job well done.
Brown is the most loved out of all of them. This is because the cat is warm and obedient; she sleeps on the bed with everyone and plays very well. She also avoids sticking around during conflicts but will go to her corner and stay there to avoid being smacked.
However, it has been a long time since I left my parents' house, so presently, if I had the opportunity to choose a pet, I would choose a dog. This is because dogs are intelligent and have high-level security capabilities when trained. They also keep their owner company at home and can go for a walk with them, among other things. Most importantly, they can run errands outside the house or even within the neighbourhood.

I enjoy taking care of a pet that stays with me, but the hardest part of the job is taking care of them when they are unwell. I feel uncomfortable because they are unable to explain their pain or what happened to them verbally. For example, one of our neighbour's dogs went out unaccustomed within the neighbourhood and came back with a wound. I was pained seeing him in pain, but when I approached him to say sorry, I was like, " Who injured you, he layed down, making some sounds which I’m unable to interpret. However, I gave him some food and meat, rubbed his head, and left.
In conclusion, having pets is like having a higher animal that can keep me company and make some noises to keep the home front warm and vibrant. I hate dullness; hence, it will be a thing of vibes and glamour.
