A mess of roots from the bottom of one of my planters. It's really cool to see how the roots expand. I will have to take a picture of my other garden to help show you how crazy roots can get.
Since, I've had to clean out the planters about once a month so far, these roots don't get too out of control. I'd like to switch to a plant with a bit more longevity and see if this setup can accommodate for the larger root system.
Gillbert is quite eager to get some new plants in at this point. He thinks it will hep improve the water clarity if the plants can such a bit more nutrients from the water. Right now the wheatgrass isn't cutting it. Upgrade time!
