Let's do some updates!

Starting with posts from winter. Oldest ones first.

There was a post on Sprouting Lentils, remember?

On the left is the where the stem meets the soil. On the right, there is the middle growth...

I had sprouted a whole forest as you can see in this post and I had eaten some on salad which were delicious and some got big and started to get secondary leaves so I planted them in dirt out in the garden and they're doing just fine.

I'm not sure what this fuzzy ball part is, whether it's a flower or what, but I've never seen a plant that grows lentils before. I chose only one of several to feature for this update.

The next update is on our hopeful avocado flowers which I'm still looking for. The larger tree keeps getting new buds and they seem to turn into wonderful red leaves with no flowers developing among them.

There was a post called Guacamole Farm which was posted just as the weather had a hint of spring in the air.

While making that post, I was hopeful that avocado flowers, which I'm still looking for, would be found at some point. The larger tree (above) keeps getting new buds and they seem to turn into wonderful red leaves with no flowers developing among them.

The smaller tree, below, seems to be lacking flowers too, but its buds are developing into very red leaves and some are even peach colored.

Then we have the cabbage propagation post which is very exciting because we have one that's half grown and right next to it we have the one that I had just planted back then. It was just a flat top of cut cabbage.

image.png

But wait. In addition to those two that were on the last post, I have another new one that I found underneath the supposed "Carrots" of the other day.

image.png

This one wants to grow three or four heads out of the same cabbage propagation.

Bonus

And since we're still talking about purple cabbage...
I am not sure if I had posted on these, but I am sure I planted them at the end of summer or in the fall.

image.png

I have two fully grown cabbage plants that have not been attacked by any kind of critters because I have them in really tall pots. And I just want to show them to you because they're beautiful in the rain.

image.png

Yeah, I like cabbage a lot!

There was another post on a Surprise Baby while Repotting we saved the baby plant before repotting the larger Drosera.

image.png

And the plant that we repotted that day.

image.png

image.png

All of that dry moss that we had on top is now soaking wet because of the rain and the storms we've been having lately.

Second to last most recent post was from the other day on our mistaken carrots, which are still sitting on the ground, and they're not drying out in the rain.

image.png

I am very anxious to burn these rather than have someone find them in the garbage or for them to grow somewhere else. People could get hurt.

They are nowhere near soil.

The last update is on the post from yesterday Exotic Sarracenia.

image.png

I am excited to see these coming alive after a dry and ugly winter.

Yesterday, this new, liquid filled bug trap was at 12 inches tall.

Today it is hitting new heights. I am amazed how fast it grows.

I will be updating the height of this first pitcher leaf every day in the comments section of the listed post. It is just about to open and the long tubular leaf will be filling with digestive juices to attract prey!

For all of you that have been following along, I hope this post has quenched your thirst for an update on the plants you have seen me working with. Spring is upon us deep-down-under. Growth is abundant now. You will see more things happening in the coming weeks and months.

Thanks for reading, following and commenting on my posts. Your support is appreciated!
