Most people on the Hive blockchain know Splinterlands to be the best play2earn game on the blockchain and one of the best when it is ranked among all other play2earn games outside the Hive blockchain.
I have been playing this game since 2018 and I never get tired of playing it, it is so addictive and contributed to my financial status as it exploded in 2021 and made a big change in the lives of both players and investors.
This post is to create awareness among people both game lovers and investors who have no clue what the hive blockchain and splinterlands is all about... For Beginners, you may not understand this game easily, when I started playing, it took me days to get it but the moment I understood the gameplay, it was smooth sailing, and the more you play the game, the better you understand the tactics and how to win.
It is a free-to-play game but there is also the play2earn version, it all depends on what you want if you are looking for a game to play for fun without investing a dime, you can create an account and play but if you want to earn, you have to purchase the spellbook which can be found at the main page of their site.
Everything you need to know has been explained on the site but I will break it down.
The modern and wild you see at the top are the two gameplay formats on Splinterlands, All card editions can be used in the wild format while the modern format only allows the usage of new editions of cards starting from the Chaos Edition.
The Splinterlands governance token is Splintershards[Sps], it is the token you earned for playing the game and it is already listed on Mexc, you can trade it on the hive engine too... The most important part of this is that you don't need to be a player to earn, you can buy sps and stake it to start enjoying the staking Apr which is currently at 10 percent.
There are other tokens like Dec, Vouchers, and Glint... The Glint can not be purchased, it can only be earned by playing the game and the Glint can be used to purchase reward cards and a loot chest which gives you things that help in improving your gameplay.
Tournament is a major part of the game but to be able to compete with other players, you will need a strong deck, if you can meet up with that, you will earn a decent amount of Sps from the tournament pool which you can either stake or use in buying more asset in the game.
