Greetings to the Splinterlands and Hiver communities! We are celebrating the conclusion of the first season of September, marking the start of the year's final quarter. Reaching this milestone holds great significance for me, as it was exactly one year ago that I began building my Modern format deck. I started—quite literally—with Foundations cards and Rebellion reward cards. Later, I began accumulating Conclave Arcana reward cards and using them in my initial Silver League battles; this allowed me to gain a foothold and further strengthen the reward cards that helped diversify my strategies. Then, early in the year, I realized it was time to purchase my first Legendary Archons. Little by little, as I incorporated these Archons and new units, I advanced through the Gold League tiers. Finally, this September, I can say I have managed to surpass Diamond III and hold my ground in Diamond II.

Saludos comunidad de Splinterlands y Hivers! Celebramos la conclusión de la primera temporada de septiembre, en lo que sería el comienzo del último trimestre del año. Llegar a este momento tiene un significado muy destacable para mi, porque fue hace un año que comencé la construcción de mi mazo moderno. Comencé con las cartas Foundations y las rewards Rebellion, nada mas y nada menos. Posteriormente fui acumulando las cartas rewards de Conclave Arcana y usándolas en mis primeras batallas de la liga de plata, logrando afianzarme y seguir fortaleciendo estas cartas de recompensa que me ayudaron a diversificar mis estrategias. Luego entendí que ya era la hora de comprar mis primeros arcontes legendarios a comienzos de año y así, poco a poco a medida que incorporaba estos arcontes y nuevas unidades fui superando las distintas ligas de oro y finalmente ahora, en este mes de septiembre puedo decir que he logrado superar la liga de Diamante III y mantenerme en la Diamante II.

To be honest, it has been a very satisfying journey. It wasn't a case of returning to the game after a long hiatus—I’ve been playing all along—but for all of 2024 and part of 2025, I was focused on Lands. I was busy understanding the mechanics and worker traits to boost my plot's production, stepping away somewhat from the Rebellion set (which I view as a transitional phase between the old Splinterlands era and this new stage). This new era—centered on Archons with synergies and lineage-based modifiers—is undoubtedly the game's future, and it is the reason I am focused exclusively on acquiring these cards.

Ha sido un viaje muy satisfactorio para ser honestos, no porque haya regresado a jugar después de mucho tiempo, ya que siempre he estado jugando, solo que todo el 2024 y parte del 2025 estuve jugando en lands, entendiendo sus dinámicas y las características de los trabajadores para mejorar la producción de mi parcela, alejándome un poco del set rebellion que considero una especie de transición entre la fase antigua de Splinterlands y esta nueva etapa, basada en arcontes con sinergias y modificadores por linaje es sin duda el futuro del juego y la razón por la que estoy enfocado en conseguir exclusivamente estas cartas.

So, this season—even though I’m still missing two Legendary Archons from the Core set and all of them from the wonderful Escalation set—I managed to climb from Gold II to Diamond II and break into the top 10 of the leaderboard, earning an extra 100k Glints! In short, friends, it was a highly productive season.

Así, en esta temporada, aún cuando todavía me faltan 2 arcontes legendarios del set Core y todos los del maravilloso set Escalation, he logrado pasar de oro II a Diamante II y entrar entre los 10 mejores de la tabla de posiciones, consiguiendo 100K de Glints extra! es decir amigos fue una temporada altamente productiva.

So, rounding things up, we generated 88K Glints in ranked play, plus another 88K as accumulated end-of-season rewards, and finally the 100K Glints for finishing in the top 10 of the Gold League—allowing us to amass a total of 275K Glints! It’s the first time I’ve managed to accumulate such a large amount of Glints in a single season using my own staked SPS.

Entonces, redondeando generamos 88K de glints en ranked + otros 88K como recompensa acumulada de final de temporada y finalmente los 100K de Glints por estar entre los 10 mejores de la liga de Oro, nos permitió acumular un total de 275K en Glints! Primera vez que consigo acumular tal cantidad de Glints en una temporada usando mis propios SPS bloqueados.

As for the SPS generated through staking—derived from both ranked play and Brawls—we have a total of 1,045 SPS. That’s a reasonably good amount, considering I don’t have a huge quantity of SPS staked, but I always try to play all my battles and never miss a day of generating SPS. Now that I’m in the Diamond League, I’m considering renting SPS to boost my rewards—both in terms of Glints and staked SPS.

Ahora, en cuanto a SPS en Staking producidos entre ranked y Brawlstenemos un total de 1045 SPS. Una cantidad relativamente aceptable considerando que no es mucha la cantidad de SPS que tengo bloqueado pero siempre intento meter todas mis batallas y no perder un día sin generar SPS. We’ll definitely be using this large stash of Glints to buy Epic reward cards; we had already dedicated a lot of time and resources to Common and Rare cards during the first two quarters of the year. I felt like time was running out to acquire these cards, and I wanted to add them to my deck as soon as possible before September ended. Last season, we managed to buy about 9 Epic cards, but this time around, we reached a total of 18 Epic reward cards! Here are the results.

Bien, esta gran cantidad de glints, sin duda los destinaremos a la compra de cartas épicas de recompensas, ya le habíamos dedicado mucho tiempo y recursos a las cartas comunes y raras en los 2 primeros trimestres de este año. Sentía que el tiempo para adquirir estas cartas ya se me estaba acabando y quería incorporarlas lo más pronto posible a mi mazo antes de finalizar el mes de septiembre. La temporada pasada logramos comprar unas 9 cartas épicas, en esta ocasión alcanzamos hasta 18 cartas épicas de recompensas! A continuación te comparto los resultados obtenidos.

We had a couple of thousand Glints left over, so we bought about 11 Minor Chests to try our luck; while nothing spectacular turned up, we did get several Common cards and an unlock scroll! It was also important to stock up on Alchemy Potions, as I have very few in my inventory and want to use them when opening Foundations packs.

Nos sobraron un par de miles de glints y compramos unos 11 cofres menores para probar suerte y aunque no salio nada especial si conseguimos varias cartas comunes y y un scroll de desbloqueo! Tambien fue importante sumar más pociones de alquimia ya que tengo muy muy pocas en mi inventario y me interesa gastarlas en la apertura de packs Foundations.

That used up all our Glints. Let’s take a look at which cards we managed to level up—not just the Epic cards we bought, but also the Common cards we earned from league-up chests and the Minor Chests.

Con esto consumimos todos nuestro glints, vamos a ver a continuación cuales cartas logramos subir de nivel no solo en las cartas épicas que compramos, sino entre las cartas comunes que conseguimos en los cofres de recompensas al subir de liga y los obtenidos en los cofres menores.

The first one we upgraded is indeed a common card: Husk of the Hunter. The current Modern meta features a large number of ranged units capable of attacking the back row, including Dragon units. It will be interesting to devise a lineup using these types of cards to evaluate their effectiveness in battle.

El primero que upgradeamos es en efecto una carta común: Husk of the Hunter, actualmente el meta de moderno tiene una gran cantidad de unidades rango capaces de atacar la última posición, incluyendo unidades dragón. Será interesante idear una alineación usando este tipo de cartas para evaluar su efectividad en batalla.

Let’s look at the Epic cards now. First, we can remove Kazira Vaelstrik from this list, as we already have her at Gold Level 2. As for the others, there are Voss and Wailsworn Specter—cards I really wanted to get to Level 3—and Joraki Venshiro, whom we just upgraded to Level 2. The one left waiting for an upgrade was Saltwraith Pirate, but I hope to get him to Level 3 by the end of the next season.

Veamos entonces como quedamos con las cartas épicas, lo primero es sacar de esta lista a Kazira Vaelstrik ya que la tenemos en nivel 2 dorada. De resto tenemos a Voss y Wailsworn Specter que deseaba mucho finalmente llevarlas a nivel 3 y luego tenemos a Joraki Venshiro que apenas la subimos a nivel 2. La que quedó pendiente por subir de nivel fue Saltwraith Pirate, pero espero en el próximo fin de temporada llevarlo a nivel 3.

At first, I thought Voss and Wailsworn Specter were a waste of cards, but once I grasped the huge advantage of the Bloodline Tribute ability, they became incredibly valuable to me. They remind me of cards with the Martyr ability, except here you don't have to worry about positioning these units next to the card you want to boost; simply sharing the same Bloodline—and ideally the same attack type—is enough to gain a significant buff when they are sacrificed. Now that we have them at level 3, we’re fully competitive in the Silver League for tournaments and brawls.

Voss y Wailsworn Specter eran cartas que en un principio me parecían un desperdicio pero cuando entendí la gran ventaja de la habilidad tributo de linaje, se volvieron extremadamente valiosas para mi. Me recuerdan a las cartas con la habilidad mártir solo que aquí no tienes que preocuparte por ubicar estas unidades adyacentes a tu carta de interés, solo con que compartan el mismo linaje y mejor aún el mismo tipo de ataque es suficiente para adquirir un buff importante al ser sacrificadas. Ahora que ya las tenemos en nivel 3 estamos a tope de la liga de plata para torneos y brawls.

Joraki Venshiro is just as important; it possesses the "Painforged" ability, which boosts its attack as it takes damage from "Reckless" and "Electrify." Its true potential is unlocked at Level 3 when it gains the "Pierce" ability—just imagine the damage output of this card combined with the ability to slice through defenses like a hot knife through butter! It is undoubtedly a strategic card, and I won't rest until I have it at least at Level 3.

Joraki Venshiro no es una carta menos importante, tiene la habilidad painforged, que aumenta su ataque conforme recibe daño de reckless y electrificar. Su verdadero potencial despierta en el nivel 3 porque adquiere la habilidad perforar, solo imagina el daño buff de esta carta con la capacidad de atravesar las defensas como si fuera cuchillo caliente sobre mantequilla! Es sin duda una carta estratégica y que no descansaré hasta tenerla al menos lvl 3.

For now, our goal is to upgrade Joraki Venshiro (Death class, Drakoshan lineage) and the Saltwraith Pirate as soon as possible. The Pirate is another "Lineage Tribute" card, though I prefer using it alongside the legendary Archon, Captain Frankie. Both will require a good amount of Glints and a bit of luck to acquire the copies needed for Level 3. I hope fortune smiles on us so we can complete them quickly.

Por ahora, nuestro objetivo se centra en llevar los más pronto posible a Joraki Venshiro de la clase muerte pero de linaje drakoshan y al Saltwraith Pirate, que es otra carta con tributo de linaje pero que me gusta usar más con el arconte legendario Captain Frankie. Ambas requerirán de una buena cantidad glints y suerte para conseguir las copias que necesitamos para el nivel 3. Espero y que la fortuna nos ayude a completarlas lo más pronto posible.

Finally, I decided to buy the exclusive voucher-only card from the Lyra & Lorn shop: Krowl Brightbane. These cards definitely deserve serious attention; the previous batch was purely strategic, and I only managed to buy one. This time, I’ve already bought two: Krowl Brightbane and Vethos Spineclaw—the latter of which I’ve already started testing in battles with Captain Frankie.

Por último y para cerrar, decidí comprar en la tienda de Lyra & Lorn la carta exclusiva que se compra con vouchers: Krowl Brightbane. Definitivamente a estas cartas hay que ponerle verdadera atención, el lote de cartas anterior son simplemente estratégicas y apenas pude comprar una. En este caso ya he comprado 2: Krowl Brightbane y Vethos Spineclaw que ya la he empezado a probar en batallas usando a Captain Frankie.

The reason I bought this card is undoubtedly the Archon "Loving the Moo"; I realized I had very few cards from the Canisan lineage, and since the lineage ability is "Poison," I saw the huge advantage of having a card with a combined attack in my lineup—effectively allowing me to poison two targets in a single turn. I checked my stash of vouchers and had exactly the right amount! I was only able to buy one copy, but I want to level this card up to at least level 2—or even level 3—to strengthen my Canisan lineage deck.

La razón que me llevó a comprar esta carta es sin duda el arconte Loving the Moo, del cual me di cuenta que no tenía casi cartas del linaje canisan y como la habilidad de linaje es envenenar, me di cuenta de la gran ventaja que sería tener en la alineación una carta con ataque combinado que se traduciría en la posibilidad de envenenar a 2 objetivos en 1 mismo turno. Revisé entonces mi alijo de vouchers y tenía la cantidad justa! Solo pude comprar una copia, pero quiero llevar esta carta al menos a nivel 2 e incluso 3 para fortalecer mis mazo de cartas con el linaje canisan.

Well, Splinterlands friends, that’s a look at my progress this season in Modern. I’m really satisfied with how far I’ve come after a year, and right now, my main goal is to finish collecting the Legendary Archons.
